"Walking speech": Hearing and Heeding Indigenous Voices from the Eurasian and American Arctic
Naomi Caffee, Assistant Professor of Russian at Reed College, will discuss Indigenous writing in the U.S. and Russia, state ideology, the blending of oral and written literary tradition in Indigenous writing, and the challenges of integrating Indigenous Studies approaches into Russian Studies.
Free and open to the public.
